Pallavi Joshi Falls Prey to Credit Card Fraud; Files an FIR!

Veteran actress Pallavi Joshi who has established herself to be one of the most versatile actor, is the latest victim of cyber fraud. The 50 year old actress lost 156 Euros (approximately Rs 12,000), after her credit card was fraudulently used in Europe. As soon as she realised the issue, she got in touch with her bank and got her card blocked.

According to reports, Pallavi’s card was used to make payments for taxi trips in Europe. The actress received bank alerts of the transactions on 5th July, after which she filed a complaint against the same in Versova Police station on 6th July. A case has been registered under sections of the IPC and the IT Act.

In the complaint, she said that she received five to six SMS when her card was being misused. “The card has been blocked after I informed the bank. There has been a series of fraudulent transactions worth Rs 12,000 done on my credit card,” Joshi mentioned in the FIR.

“Probe is on to get details of the money trails which has been completed in Euros,”said  Ravindra Badgujar (Senior Inspector, Versova Police Station) in an interview with TOI.
