'Hide & Seek' director now working on romcom

His directorial debut 'Hide & Seek' might have been a horror outing about friends trapped in a house but Shawn Arranha has now moved on to a romcom.

'I am writing a romcom and I'm in talks with actors and producers. Negotiations are going on. It will be a totally different version of romcom and not the usual style,' Arranha told IANS.

'I have also come across a different gadget and a new technology with a new camera Canon 50D. So I'm trying to bring that too into India with my film,' added the director, who used a 'claustrophobic technique' in 'Hide & Seek' that injects audiences with a feeling that they are entrapped in a cube with no escape.

'Fired' director working on another horror thriller

His debut 'Fired', a Rahul Bose-starrer thriller, might not have seen the light of the day yet but that has not deterred director Sajit Warrier from using his creative prowess on a second project on similar lines.

'I'm working on another low-budget psychological thriller. It is again a controversial subject with some horror in it. It is based on a real incident and we'll merge it with real footage. We haven't decided the title yet and it'll completely be with newcomers,' Warrier told IANS.

Traversing the festival circuit now, 'Fired' is stuck due to censorship issues over explicit content. It has been now tentatively slated for an early 2011 release.
