Since his first televised appearance on the Salman Khan-hosted programme Bigg Boss 16, filmmaker Sajid Khan has been subject to criticism from online users. Minissha Lamba spoke on the MeToo movement in India but avoided mentioning Sajid, referring to him as a "creature" instead.

Minissha had previously been on Bigg Boss 8. In a recent interview, the actress responded, "Regarding the creature (Sajid Khan) you are talking about, the less about the person the better," when asked to comment on the current season of Bigg Boss, Sajid's voluntary exit, and the MeToo movement.

Minissha also described the MeToo movement as a revolution that was just waiting to happen. She claimed that all it took was one calamity or one "tipping point" to transform both the planet and how people talk about women globally.

Minissha has taken a long break from acting in movies. She claimed that although she initially had aspirations of becoming a journalist, amazing chances ultimately led her to the film industry. She claimed that at the time, she lacked the direction she need and handled things on her own.

The actress made her Bollywood debut in 2005 with Shoojit Sircar's Yahaan. Later, she went on to appear in films such as Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd, Bachna Ae Haseeno, Kidnap and Bheja Fry 2.
