From his debut with ‘Filmistaan’ to winning over audiences as the lovable character JK in ‘Family Man’ and many more memorable ones, Sharib Hashmi has certainly become a household name and one of the most sought-after actors.

Riding high on the success and critical acclaim of his latest release, ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’ alongside Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan, the versatile actor reveals he was a bit hesitant initially to take up the role of the security guard Daroga in the film.

Sharib explains, “It’s an interesting story. I was a bit hesitant when I was offered the part of Daroga in the film. While reading the script, I developed interest in two characters and expressed my wish to portray any one to the makers. But actors were already finalised for those parts. I was also a little unsure to take up the role of Daroga because his entry in the movie is post interval. But when I read the entire script, I became confident of my character, its graph and how he takes the narrative ahead.”

He further added, “Overall, it was an enjoyable experience working on the film. I am glad that my character has been loved and appreciated by the audience."

Sharib is currently on a roll, with an interesting line up including ‘Tarla’ alongside Huma Qureshi on ZEE5 and ’36 Days’ (web series) on SonyLiv.
