February 15th marks the 68th birthday of the evergreen legend of Indian cinema, Randhir Kapoor a.k.a Daboo! On this festive occasion, BollyCurry takes pleasure in showing you a glimpse of Daboo's journey in Bollywood.

Kapoor was born in 1947 to the renowned actor, director and producer Raj Kapoor, and Krishna Kapoor in Mumbai. The actor-producer-director first faced the camera at a tender age as a child artist in the mid-1950s. However, it was not until 1971 when Kapoor graced the silver screen as a lead in Kal Aaj Aur Kal, which also marked his debut movie as a director. The film managed to accumulate average collections at the box office. In the same year, Kapoor married his ladylove and co-actor Babita Kapoor. The duo has two beautifully famed daughters, Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Kapoor excelled in Indian cinema as an actor from his debut in 1971 to the 1980s. Some of his praiseworthy performances include Raampur Ka Lakshman (1972), Jawani Diwani (1972), Ponga Pandit (1975), Kasme Vaade (1978), Sawaal (1982) and Pukar (1983). He then decided to take a break from acting to focus on production and direction. The talented actor donned the producer's hat in 1991 with the release of Henna starring his brother Rishi Kapoor, Ashwini Bhave and Zeba Bakhtiyar. Henna was his father's last incomplete film before he passed away. After producing Prem Granth (1996) and Aa Ab Laut Chalen (1999), Kapoor returned from his acting hiatus doing secondary roles in Armaan (2003), Housefull (2010), Action Replayy (2010), Housefull 2 (2012), Ramaiya Vastavaiya (2013) and more recently, Super Nani (2014).
