Today BollyCurry celebrates the birthday of two beautiful divas who have won millions of hearts with their innocent yet mischievous looks; the vivacious Kajol Devgn and the soon to-be mother, Genelia Dsouza.
Born to Jeanette Dsouza, a former managing director of
the Pharma Multinational Corporation (MNC), and Neil Dsouza, a
senior official with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Dsouza was
raised as a Roman Catholic along with her younger brother, Nigel
D'Souza. She completed her schooling at Apostolic Carmel High
School in Bandra and then went on to pursue her bachelors in Management
Studies at St. Andrew's College, Bandra.
The bubbly lass started her career with modelling at
the age of 15, receiving the height of attention with her Parker Pen
commercial alongside Amitabh Bachchan. This led to her Bollywood's debut
with
Tujhe Meri Kasam (2003) opposite another newbie, Riteish
Deshmukh. Her debut was followed by the hit comedy movie Masti
(2004). Post this, Dsouza shifted focus to Southern movies and rapidly became one of the top established Southern heroines with
successful films such as Boys (2003), Satyaam (2003),
Samba (2004), Bommarillu (2006), Dhee (2007),
Santosh Subramaniam (2008) and Ready (2008).
After having a successful run in the south nearly for five years, the Dsouza made a comeback to Bollywood with
Mere Baap Pehle Aap (2008), which unfortunately failed to impress the
audience and critics alike. However, she received worldwide recognition
with her performance in the blockbuster Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na (2008) opposite Imran Khan. The petite actress was last seen in Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya (2012).
Although the film received mixed reviews from critics, it was well
received by the audience. She also did a cameo role in Jai Ho
(2014) and Lai Bhaari (2014).
Dsouza is
currently happily married to actor, producer and architect Riteish
Deshmukh since 2012 and the much in love couple are expecting their
first baby.

career in films and never completed her studies.
Devgn started her journey in Bollywood with Bekhudi
in 1992 at the age of sixteen. Although the film failed at the box
office, her performance was noticed and subsequently she appeared in
