The rising scare of COVID-19 has led to more and more problems for anyone and everyone working in the entertainment industry. However, this becomes all the more difficult for people associated with a daily soap where the work is about endless hours and there is a barrage of people one interact with everyday.
On that note, multiple actors opened up on how the are dealing with the same to ETimes TV. Actor Ankit Gupta, who plays the lead in Udaariyaan said, "Along with wearing a mask and practicing social distancing, I don’t shake hands or hug people. On our set, there are temperature checks and sanitising machines around. Everyone is in masks, except the artistes when they are shooting. Whenever I have free time, I chill in a separate room. I also make sure that I don’t order food from anywhere and I try to cook it myself. It is difficult to shoot as cases rise at such an alarming rate, but the show must go on."
Shivangi Joshi, who plays the lead in Balika Vadhu 2 said, "I make sure I consume healthy and nutritious food and exercise daily. Thankfully, neither anyone from my sets nor my family has tested positive. We are following all COVID protocols on our set. It is very difficult currently because you have a responsibility towards your show. We are shooting daily and the best that we can do is take care of ourselves, eat healthy and stay positive."
On his front, actor Vivian Dsena, who plays the lead in Sirf Tum said, "Sanitiser has been a part of my lifestyle for the last ten years. I always keep one in my bag, one in my car and one in my makeup room. My entire team is always wearing a mask, and so am I. The only time I remove it is during a shot. Nobody enters my makeup room without a mask. It’s good to be back on set, there is definitely this fear when it comes to our health because of new variants. Thus, we all have to be alert, maintain a good lifestyle and eat healthy. Work is important but so is our health."
COVID-19 continues to a menace and one can only hope everyone stays well and take all precautions.
