Bollywood actors Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar have been dating for quite some time now, and the duo is all set to take their relationship to the next level.
The couple will be tying the knot on February 19.
Contrary to popular belief, Farhan and Shibani will not have a nikah or a Maharashtrian wedding, according to a recent report in a news portal. Instead, the couple will exchange vows in front of family and close friends.
According to the report, they preferred to keep it as basic and as simple as possible. For the wedding, guests have also been told to wear simple colours such as pastels and whites. Farhan and Shibani have agreed on an intimate ceremony. Both have written their vows, which they will read aloud on the big day.
It is said that the couple chose not to have a traditional wedding in order to keep each other's religious backgrounds and beliefs out from their special day. For their guests, Farhan and Shibani have reserved all of the bungalows in and around Khandala.
Ahead of their big day, the pre-wedding festivities have kick-started in full swing. On Thursday evening, a lot of Shibani's close friends were seen arriving at the couple's residence for the Mehendi function.
Around 50 odd guests are reportedly expected to attend the wedding, which includes the likes of Meiyang Chang, Gaurav Kapur, Samir Kochhar, Monica Dogra, Ritesh Sidhwani and Rhea Chakraborty. Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan are also reportedly on the guest list. However, there is no confirmation on whether they will attend the wedding.
