Executive producer Mukesh Mishra convicted of raping an actress; jailed for 7 years

As per the reports, Mukesh Mishra has been convicted on rape charges and has been subject to 7 years of jail with a penalty of Rs. 5000.

Executive producer Mukesh Mishra has been found guilty of raping one of the actresses' from his own show. The actress, in her statement, made a revelation about how he offered her lift to the sets, only to follow her into her makeup room where this crime was committed.

In a hearing at a special women's court, the convicted has been sentenced to jail for 7 years along with a penalty of Rs. 5000. According to the reports, this happened on the 12th of December 2012. From what has been stated by the actress, she was asked by Mukesh to wait at Jogeshwari station, where a bus arranged to pick artists for shoot would take her to the location. However, instead of the bus, Mukesh arrived to meet her on his bike and told her he'd drop her as the bus is running late.

When they reached the sets, he followed her into the makeup room and raped her. In fact, she also stated that he threatened her of the consequences if she told about this to anyone. 

According to the reports, the statement of a sweeper was considered as he saw Mishra enter the actresses' makeup room.

Also, from the entry in the register, it was proved that the two of them, accused and the victim were present on the sets.

Such incidences are as shocking as they are infuriating.
