Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are enjoying every moment with their newborn daughter, Dua. Recently, Deepika shared a heartwarming reel that showcased the sweet little things that newborns do. The couple revealed their daughter’s name, Dua Padukone Singh, just yesterday, and fans were delighted to finally learn it. Deepika couldn’t contain her excitement and shared a glimpse of her daughter’s tiny feet, making fans fall in love with baby Dua already.
On Saturday, Deepika posted a video on her Instagram stories highlighting some of the adorable habits of newborns. The reel featured babies holding a finger with their whole hand, sleeping with open mouths, stretching cutely as they wake up, and sleeping with their arms above their heads. The caption on the reel read, “Things about a newborn that make my heart burst." Deepika, clearly in awe of her little one, added a heart emoji and tagged her husband Ranveer Singh, showing her happiness.
The new mom seems to be completely smitten with baby Dua’s habits and is soaking in every precious moment. While sharing Dua’s name with the world, Deepika and Ranveer also shared a message about its significance. “Dua,” which means prayer, was chosen because they feel their daughter is an answer to their prayers.
“Dua Padukone Singh | ??? ??????? ???? ‘Dua’: meaning a Prayer. Because She is the Answer to our Prayers. Our hearts are filled with Love & Gratitude. Deepika & Ranveer,” they wrote. Alongside the heartfelt message, they posted a picture of Dua’s tiny feet in a cute red outfit.
As soon as this post was shared, friends from Bollywood flooded them with love. Alia Bhatt and Ananya Panday left red heart emojis, while Karan Johar commented, “Such a gorgeous name." Arjun Kapoor called her “Baby simba,” and Bipasha Basu wished, “Happy Diwali, Dua.”
