Deepika Padukone, Vicky Kaushal, Ananya Panday, Karan Johar win big at Grazia Millennial Awards 2019

The first edition of the Grazia Millennial Award 2019 took place on 19th June, Wednesday. The aim of these awards was to celebrate the success of the people who have received appreciation and have had an impact on the minds of the audience. These people can be actors, influencers, philanthropists, chefs, fashionistas, and anyone that's a household name.

Actors like Deepika Padukone, Janhvi Kapoor, Karan Johar, Ananya Panday, and Vicky Kaushal along with many digital influencers such as Kusha Kapila, Shivani Raghuvanshi, Arjun Mathur, and Sobhita Dhulipala attended the event. A lot of these celebrities received the #GMA gold plated awards this year!
Let’s take a look at the stars that were presented with the Grazia Millennial Awards this year.
The biggest award of the night was presented to Deepika Padukone. Deepika who has always been vocal about her journey, she stole many hearts with the brave movie choices and portrayals on the screen. The actress received the ‘Millennial of the year’ award.

But what I do know is that in the last couple of years that I have followed my bliss and I am not sure how many of you know Joseph Campbell he is a really famous American Professor and he once famously said ‘If you follow your bliss, you put yourself on a kind of track that's been there all the while waiting for you and the life you ought to be living is the life you are living’, so to my fellow millennials Don't be afraid and follow your bliss because doors will open when you never know they would.”
The next award was presented to Karan Johar. He won the Honorary Millennial of the Year, an award for a Baby Boomer who has a considerable amount of influence over millennials and whose work matches the energy of the current generation.

He received the ‘Breakthrough star of the year’ award for his performance in Gully Boy and setting all the records straight, the actor garnered wide popularity from all across.
While receiving the award Siddhant said, “It's my first and it's very special and it wouldn't have been possible without Zoya Akhtar, Farhan Sir, Ritesh Sir and last but not the least mera bhai mera bhai mera bhai, who's travelling back in the time to 83 but I miss you bro and I am very Happy, this is very special. Thank You so much guys.”

Actress Radhika Apte was presented with the 'Digital Disruptor of the Year award', for her unusual and bold roles. Vicky Kaushal was crowned the ‘Ages Ahead Performer of the Year’, an actor who's on everyone's radar with their power-packed performance. Bollywood newcomers, Ananya Panday got the NextGen Star of the Year and Janhvi Kapoor won the Rising Star of the Year awards.
While receiving her award, Ananya Panday said, "I feel really special as this my first award after school. I am super excited that I am representing the entire generation that just trying to figure themselves out. Big hug to all and Lots of Love to all. This journey will be amazing, everything gonna be fine it's all going to be worth it.”
Apart from the Bollywood celebrities, many other entrepreneurs, digital influencers, philanthropists were honoured. Kusha Kapila was awarded the Digital influencer of the Year award. Designer Gautam Vazirani known for his work on sustainable fashion won the Fashion Eco-warrior of the Year award. India's first transgender model Anjali Lama Won the Model of the Year award.
Designer Ruchika Sachdeva won the Designer of the Year Award. Entrepreneur and Chef, Pooja Dhingra was awarded the Mould-breaker of the Year. Designer and Entrepreneur Masaba Gupta won the big Fashion Entrepreneur of the Year for her clothing line Masaba.
