Colors show Ram Siya ke Luv Kush lands in trouble for showing misleading content

Protests are on in Punjab against the show for showing misleading facts and for hurting sentiments. The court has now issued orders to stop it's screening with immediate effects

.

Valmiki community of Punjab has raised objections with the way the story is progressing in Ram Siya Ke Luv Kush. They staged a protest last Saturday to display their anger for the same and had initiated a ban for September 7th. The community has demanded a bandh for the series to stop airing and spreading false news.

Talking to ANI, one of the protesters, Akshay Raj said that it is very unfortunate that the serial has been produced with disfigured facts and without going into the historical facts. The telecast of the serial has hurt the sentiments of the entire Valmiki community. During the protest, only the markets will be shut. He mentioned that they don't want to interrupt with the normal functioning of schools, hospitals or ambulance.

He went on to say that a call for peaceful Bandh has been called for September 7 to express resentment for not taking any action against the TV channel despite giving a memorandum to the district administration. Raj now says,"We demand the withdrawal of the show from airing."

Issuing the prohibition orders, in exercise of powers conferred by Section 19 of the Cable Television Networks (Regulation) Act 1995 (Act No. 7 of 1995), District Magistrate said that as per the strong objection on the content of serial by leaders of some communities, it becomes mandatory to stop the screening of above said serial in public Interest to maintain communal harmony, law and order in the district.

District Magistrate has directed the cable operators of the district to abide by the prohibition orders immediately and suspend the screening of the the show.

But It's true many things that are being shown are in fact not based on the true life events of Luv Kush or Sita and Ram. For example Shatrughana seeing Sita Mata and having a conversation with her. That changes the whole story. If Shatrughan knew Luv Kush to be Sita and Ram's child then when Luv Kush came to Ayodha Shatrugan would have said something when Ram asked for proof that Luv Kush were in fact his children. Shatrugan visited Valmiki Ashram is a fact. But ke never knew Sita was also staying there. So please don't show rubbish. It's a sad state that India is in nowdays. In the name of being different they show whatever they want with mytho theme attached to it.
