Chirag Paswan, leader of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), recently expressed his thoughts on reconnecting with his former co-star Kangana Ranaut. Both Paswan and Ranaut are set to reunite in Parliament, marking a unique occasion for the duo who began their acting careers together back in 2011.

Paswan, now 41, reminisced about their time working on the film ‘Mile Na Mile Hum,’ where he made his acting debut alongside Kangana. Despite the film not performing well at the box office, Paswan fondly remembers their collaboration. He shared his anticipation for their meeting in Parliament, praising Kangana’s articulate nature and strong personality. “I am looking forward to meeting her. We shared a good relationship and worked in a film together. I think she is a strong lady; she voices herself very articulately and I am looking forward to listening to her in Parliament,” Paswan told PTI.

Paswan successfully contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Bihar's Jamui and retained his seat in the 2019 elections. In the most recent elections, he contested from Hajipur and won by a significant margin of 1,70,105 votes. Paswan's party, LJP (RV), secured five seats in Vaishali, Hajipur, Samastipur, Khagaria, and Jamui.

Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut made headlines by winning the Mandi seat in Himachal Pradesh, defeating her nearest rival from Congress, Vikramaditya Singh, by 74,755 votes. This victory marks a significant milestone in her transition from acting to politics.

However, Ranaut recently found herself embroiled in a controversy at Chandigarh airport. She was allegedly slapped by a CISF constable named Kulwinder Kaur while on her way to Delhi to collect her parliamentary ID and Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) cards. The incident reportedly stemmed from comments made by the constable, who accused Ranaut of "disrespecting farmers," a reference to the prolonged farmers' protests against the now-repealed farm laws.

Footage from the airport showed Ranaut being escorted by security officers towards the security check-in area, where she was seen conversing with CISF personnel.

Despite these challenges, both Paswan and Ranaut are gearing up to take on their new roles in Parliament, bringing with them unique backgrounds and a shared history from their days in the film industry.
