Bade Acche Laggte Hai completes 300 episodes
The cast and crew of Bade Acche Laggte Hai cut a cake to celebrate the show reaching the three century mark Read on to know more.
There are so many TV shows that revolve around
arranged marriages on Indian television. However Sony TV's Bade Acche Laggte Hai
is entirely of a different league. Moreover the fact that its protagonists
aren't in their youthful twenties has actually worked towards the favour of
this show. Whether Ram and Priya are together or separated, ardent fans log in regularly
at 10:30pm from Monday to Thursday to watch this show which has made it reach
the 300 episode mark.
Saakshi Tanwar was so busy working hard on this
show that it came as a surprise to her that her show had completed 300
episodes. Ram Kapoor wasn't at the cake cutting. Saakshi said, "For us every
episode is important. This is not the first time my show has completed 300
episodes. Even in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki we had completed more than 1600
episodes. Every show however has its unique journey, so this is surely a great
feeling."
There was a cake cutting on the sets of Bade Acche Laggte Hai to mark its 300 episode completion. The cake had the Bade Acche Laggte Hai wall paper with Ram, Saakshi and Amrita's pictures on the cake.
Amrita Mukherjee who plays Pihu said excitedly, "I had great fun on the sets
during the cake cutting today. The cake was very delicious." Her mother
Mrinmoyee Mukherjee appreciatively said, "The creative team directs Amrita very
well. Saakshi Tanwar takes great care to patiently explain the scenes to my
daughter."
Samir Kochhar who plays the parallel male lead
Rajat told us, "Though I came to this show later this has been a very special
show for me. Ekta Kapoor has come up with a unique concept and Sony TV also
experiments with original shows. I do think the love triangle theme is working
despite the fact that it isn't easy to accept a third person in the Priya and
Ram romance. I however still consider it as primarily Ram and Saakshi's show."
Veteran actress Madhu Raja who plays Ram's mother
is also happy with this milestone. She goes down memory lane sharing with us
how she got this role. She said, "I would send delicious meals for my daughter
Tarana Raja Kapoor (who acts in this show) and her co-stars. I would visit the sets
too. The Creative Head of the show commented on seeing me that I had a rocking
mother look and was pleasantly surprised when she was informed that I was a
senior artiste and producer who had worked with Door Darshan and had performed
on stage. They called me for an audition when they were choosing a lady to play
Ram Kapoor's mother and out of 170 actors I was chosen. It was great to act
again after 32 years."
Sumona Chakravarti who plays Natasha on the show
is very happy with how her character has progressed on the show and feels that
the show has a bright future ahead. She said, "I hope more such centuries come
through. It has been a great journey for one and a half year. Natasha's
character has had a beautiful graph which has progressed logically and not
haphazardly. Natasha was good to those she liked and bad to those she didn't
like. Now she has changed for the better as she has learnt from her mistakes.
Such a character is very close to reality. Natasha loves kids (her nephew and
niece), maybe she will adopt someday as she can't have biological children. In
fact I would like to adopt a child too in future."
Sunny Goraya who plays Rishabh on the show has
mixed feelings. He told us, "It has been a nice long journey working in this
show. Though I can hardly believe that this show has completed 300 episodes, I
believe this show will stretch much longer. It's been quite creatively
satisfying working in this show, however I wish my character is better
explored. I am keeping my fingers crossed."
India-forums.com wishes that Bade Acche Laggte Hai
completes more such milestones. Keep watching this space for more updates on
this show.
