Anubhav Srivastava has a steady move in the industry..

In this age of thousands of auditions, Anubhav Srivastava aka Daksh of Seven, is glad he is getting it step by step without a glitch…

You may not like his onscreen character Daksh Rajvansh on Sony and YRF TV's Seven for Anubhav Srivastava is helping assassinate the gifted seven people. Well, that would just earn another compliment to the actor as he has brought to life the menacing character so beautifully on-screen.

The actor reminisces with us how unbelievably steady he has been in making his dream a reality. Things had been slow, he agrees, but hey, don't they say slow and steady wins the race.

Anubhav tells us, "I'm basically from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. My dad works with the State Bank and after my school he got shifted to Mumbai. While studying in Sydenham, I was always participating in street plays etc. Then there was this play where I had to portray a hosteler, it was a comic role. And judging the play was Divya Palat, Aditya Hitkari's wife and an eminent theatre personality. She liked my performance and offered me the part of John in the Indian adaptation of The Graduate.  I participated in the extensive workshop which helped a great deal."

"Then Hello Dolly on Star Plus happened, which just started the stream of television shows. When my face came on TV, my father believed that I can actually act," he laughs.

"The fact is when I told of my acting interests, like any middle class set of people my parents were unconvinced. But I managed to get my mom's approval, and my brother, how can I thank him, gave me 10 thousand bucks, a huge deal those days to get my portfolio done. If it weren't for that support probably things wouldn't have happened this way," Anubhav explains.

There are two people Anubhav continues to get inspired by. "When it comes to my inspiration, my mom will always be the one. Acting wise I like Amitabh Bachchan as he is inimitable," he says.

So what now that Seven is approaching its conclusion?" I don't know. It's every actors dream to be associated with YRF and I have experienced it. I am now looking forward to a youth centric show now and characters which have a solid foundation. I'm open to the big screen too; again the character should hold its fort. Or else, thanks to my parents' pressure, I have my B.com, M. Com and MBA as a back up," he wittily comments.
