The entire nation is currently waiting for the results of General Elections 2019. There had been several discussions, debates and polls to predict the winner of this election. In the past couple of days mainstream media, as well as social media, was bombarded with messages and posts to cast their valuable vote in this election.
From actors to common man, everybody made sure they did their bit and even spread awareness about voting for a change. Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Kangana Ranaut, Deepika Padukone, Varun Dhawan, and others were spotted at the voting booth. But one will agree that Anil Kapoor was missing in these pictures.
There was a dilemma about Kapoor’s reason not being spotted there and if he did not cast his vote this time. But now the actor has opened up on his absence whilst voting. Recently, Anil was questioned about the same and the actor explained why he could not make for the General elections.
As per reports, he said that due to calcification in his shoulder he was in Munich due to his doctor’s appointment that he had taken almost a year and a half ago since the appointment is of 4 days he could not return back for casting his vote. Thus, with his wife Sunita, he had to stay in Munich.
Kapoor and his wife tried their luck to vote through the embassy but all the efforts went in vain. Anil explained that there was no such facility available via the embassy and he stressed that in future such arrangements should be made. In spite of not being able to vote, Anil took an initiative on his social media to influence his followers to cast their vote.
Being a part of #VoteKar campaign, Anil quote tweeted PM Narendra Modi’s tweet that appreciated his engagement in the #VoteKar movement. Anil wrote, “One vote can make all the difference. As citizens of this great nation, it is our duty & right to vote. So pls make it a point to vote in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections for a better, brighter & stronger India! #VoteKar @narendramodi”
