Actor Dalip Tahil sentenced to jail for two months in drunk driving case

After having quite a delay in proceedings, the case from 2018 has now witnessed a huge development. Involving Bollywood veteran actor, Dalip Tahil, the actor faced a conviction for driving under the influence of alcohol and ramming his car into an autorickshaw.

For all this time, the most crucial part of this case was supposed to be the testimony of a medical expert.

Now, the medical expert testified that Tahil was in an inebriated state while driving. It was judged on the basis of the smell of alcohol, unstable body posture dilating pupils and incoherent speech.

As a consequence of the same, a magistrate's court pronounced a two-month sentence of imprisonment for the actor. The said incident had transpired when Tahil's vehicle collided with an autorickshaw in Khar locality, Mumbai. Following the incident, it resulted in injuries to a woman who was involved in the accident.
