Acting is my passion & I have not yet taken sanyas-Kinshuk Mahajan

Kinshuk Mahajan who essayed the role of Ranveer in Rajan Shahi's flagship show on Star Plus, Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai has been one of the most balanced and lovable characters in the show. As a dutiful son, sacrificing brother, affectionate brother-in-law and of course a very romantic husband, Ranveer had all the qualities that made him the 'Perfect' hero. Ranveer and Kinshuk might not be a part of Bidaai today, but the magical chemistry between Kinshuk and Parul Chauhan will be cherished by viewers forever.

Kinshuk Mahajan in an exclusive chit-chat with TellyBuzz talked about his personal views on moving on in life, his journey with the Bidaai family, about Apoorva taking his place and above all, message to his fans..

On the decision of opting out of Bidaai..
Yes, it was my personal decision. Frankly speaking, it is not that I did not want to play a father to an 8 year old girl. But the leap came all of a sudden and guess, we were not prepared for it. Having said this, it has not been an easy decision to make; I thought about it for a long time, I can tell you just that.

On his Bidaai journey.
Well, it has been the most fascinating journey an actor can ever have. I have grown as an actor with Bidaai and have enjoyed playing the character of Ranveer. It's been a pleasure working with Rajan Shahi and Star Plus. It is certainly not that I am going out of the show as I have differences with them (smiles). Even today, I am ready to work again with Rajan Sir and would look for another opportunity to work with Star. Directors' Kut is a lovely production house to work with, and the free space they provide for their actors' growth is remarkable.

On the fact that his fans are unhappy over his decision
I know that my fans are angry at me for opting out of Bidaai. I have got enormous support and appreciation from my fans all throughout Bidaai; their compliments have always increased my confidence level. Today I am not able to interact with them directly, as I know that they will want to know from me as to why I left Bidaai. I want to tell them that this was a very personal decision which I cannot elaborate on. I will need their support to move on and I hope they are with me.

On viewers not ready to accept Apoorva Agnihotri and Parul Chauhan as a Jodi.
See, I very well know that my chemistry with Parul was appreciated a lot. But I want to tell my fans that Apoorva is a wonderful actor and a good human being too. Even now I remember the days when I stepped into Kaajal post reincarnation after Apoorva had left the show. Even though viewers missed seeing Apoorva, they welcomed me quite well and took me in sportingly. So I hope the same happens with Apoorva in Bidaai; I would personally request my fans to respect Apoorva, love and understand his character. I do not feel that comparing any two actors is right. Bidaai is a very good show even after it has lost me and Sara Khan. The creatives are taking efforts to churn a new story and I would request all to continue watching it. Whatever has happened is for the benefit of the show, and we have to take it as God's wish (smiles). Also, human beings have a short memory, and there is every chance of viewers forgetting the old characters when they move on and like the other tracks. Who knows, if I get back with another show very soon, people might tune in to see me there and might also watch Bidaai for the newer flavour there.

On the one person he would miss in the Bidaai family..
Well, I cannot name just one person from such a huge closely knit family. I will miss everyone starting from Rajan Sir to the co-actors to our creative team to the spot dada.

On his final emotional moments with the Bidaai co-actors
Well, when I was wrapping up the pre-leap shoot of mine, Apoorva Agnihotri was shooting his entry sequence. Like me, he too had a song sequence as his entry scene. Later, I got back to shoot for the scenes with Anmol and Ranveer's death sequence. That was a very emotional day for all of us. All present on the set were crying. Vibhaji (Vibha Chibber) and I share a very good relationship and she could not stop weeping. Ashita bid me a teary farewell with a rose. Angad and I are more or less like brothers, and when we both were in my make-up room we told each other that we won't cry like ladies and would take everything sportingly. As we were talking, I sensed that I was about to cry, so got up and went into the toilet. When I came back I saw Angad crying profusely. And the hospital scene with Parul was really painful. We both were not at all acting in that scene, it was the real tears that poured out. After the scene was shot, everyone present there including the director stood up and clapped for us. It was really emotional.

On the status of Rajan Shahi's movie happening
I have not left Bidaai because I have another offer in hand. As far as the movie goes, I don't think it is happening now. As you know, Rajan Sir and Parul are totally involved in Bidaai and would find no time for the film.

On his plans ahead
I have been shooting non stop for more than one and half years now. So I will take a break of at least one month. In the mean time, if good opportunities strike, I am more than welcome to take it. Acting is my passion and I have not yet taken a sanyaas (smiles). I can only tell my fans that I will be back very soon. It is not that I am going out empty handed.  I am taking with me lot of love, coming from my fans as well as the Bidaai family.
