The month of September has already begun where we certainly have a barrage of interesting shows to look forward to on the several digital platforms. So, here are 16 shows that I feel need to be looked forward to in this month.

ALT BALAJI

Cold Lassi Aur Chicken Masala

When: 3rd September

If you are still reading this article, you may want to also schedule your viewing plans as Alt Balaji's cooking-drama series starring Divyanka Tripathi and Rajeev Khandelwal was just released. The show is about two aspiring chefs who fall for each other and even get married but as fate would have it, they get separated only to be reunited later.

This show is also available for streaming on Zee5.


M.O.M - Mission Over Mars

When: 10th September

The Mission Mangal wave is still going on and there couldn't be a more perfect time for the web show starring Sakshi Tanwar, Mona Jaswir Singh and Nidhi Singh among others to come in. The story is no more a secret but this show has a different approach to tell the saga of the amazing story of the women behind the historic ISRO's Mars Mission.


HOTSTAR PREMIUM

The Deuce Season 3

When: 10th September

Returning for a third season, this HBO series has certainly suffered its ups and downs so far but there is no denying how it is one of the most acclaimed and popular shows that stars James Franco and Maggie Gyllenhaal in lead roles. The show that began being about the birth of the porn industry will now explore the VHS takeover and the huge impact of the AIDS epidemic.


American Horror Story: 1984 (Season 9)

When: 19th September

The popular anthology series is back for a ninth season and the casting and trailers have already created waves in itself. This upcoming season is said to be about being inspired by slasher films o the 80s and will have to be centered around a summer camp and have a psychotic killer.


This Is Us (Season 4)

When: 25th September

As reported only yesterday, the fourth season of the tearjerker has arrived and the season is said to be releasing in the last week of this month. Get ready to have your tissue-boxes sorted again as the new season has some supremely exciting new additions to the cast. Teaser? M. Night Shyamalan is guest-starring.


It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia (Season 14)

When: 26th September

Amongst the longest-running live-action sitcoms in American history, the show returns for a record 14th season and in fact, has already been renewed for a 15th season. Talk about breaking records? It may as well do that soon.


AMAZON PRIME VIDEO

Still Undone by Neville Shah

When: 13th September

The streaming service has several specials available from some of the top Indian comedians and now joining the list is yet another popular Indian comic. Only this one is a second one for Neville Shah as he returns with his special, Still Undone after the huge success of What Are You Laughing At?


Undone

When: 13th September

No, it is not the same as Neville's stand-up special. This series is a trippy animated series that follows 28-year-old Alma, who after surviving a near-fatal car accident gains a new perspective towards life and begins to uncover the truth about her father's death.


ZEE5

Bhram

When: 18th September

Riding high on the success of the second season of Sacred Games, Kalki Koechlin will be headlining Zee5's upcoming psychological thriller, Bhram. The story is about a female novelist suffering from PTSD who continues to lose her grip on reality as fact and fiction get lost between the lines.


Jamai 2.0

When: 10th September

The digital sequel to Zee TV's long-running TV show, Jamai Raja; it has the leading cast reprising their roles that include Ravi Dubey, Nia Sharma, and Achint Kaur. However, this romantic thriller will follow a family whose lives take an unanticipated turn for the worst as a man with a dark past enters their lives.


NETFLIX

The Spy

You may be willing to get over Sacha Baron Cohen's usual comic avatar, as he stars as the notorious Mossad agent, Eli Cohen in the real-life story inspired series, The Spy.


The Politician

Another series that will be taking on a satirical approach on US politics going in the world of student elections. Ben Platt stars in the lead role about dreaming to be the President of the USA and willing to go no-holds-barred.


The I-Land

Already said to have a very Black Mirror-ish vibe, the show is about a reality show going wrong and apparently entering the horror territory.


Bard of Blood

India's latest original has Shah Rukh Khan producing and Emraan Hashmi headlining the novel-inspired series about undercover RAW agents on a rescue mission behind enemy lines.
