Rajkummar Rao: I wish 'Badhai Do' could release again in theatres because 'uski timing thodi off thi'

Rajkummar Rao, a formidable presence in the industry, is presently engrossed in promotional activities for his upcoming movie, Srikanth: Aa raha hai sabki aankhein kholne. This biographical film narrates the inspiring journey of Srikanth Bolla, an entrepreneur with visual impairment. In a recent interview with India Forums, Rajkummar engaged in an open dialogue discussing his portrayal in the movie and various other aspects. 

When asked about a film of his that Rajkummar would want to get re-released in theatres, he said, "

I wish 'Badhai Do' could be re-release in theatres because 'uski timing thodi off thi'. It was the first film after COVID-19, and it, of course, did decently at the box office, It was not great, but then it really boosted on OTT and Netflix. So I wished wo film release ho kyuki wo mere dil ke boht kareeb hai. I am very proud of that film, very well made so I want the audience to go back to the theatres to watch it.

When questioned about a recent film he thought that he could be a part of, Raj said, "Amar Singh Chamkila. I thought it was wonderful, but no one could have done that part better than him, he was perfect for it man." During the interview, Raj also called Patralekha as his all time cheerleader. 

Meanwhile, talking about the movie 'Srikanth' which is helmed by Tusshar Hiranandani, also features Alaya F, Jyotika, and Sharad Kelkar in pivotal roles and is all set to hit the big screens on 10th May 2024.
