Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin: Ishaan clarifies that his relationship with Savi is strictly professional

Tonight's Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin episode opens with Savi (Bhavika Sharma) cautiously entering Ishaan's (Shakti Arora) dimly lit room, carrying fireflies. Ishaan questions her presence, to which Savi responds that she's there to share something she's been holding back. Ignoring his attempts to dissuade her, Savi turns away and begins expressing her feelings through a heartfelt letter she wrote for him. She confesses that he brought light into her life like fireflies and admits to falling in love with him, addressing him as "Ishaan Sir." Ishaan, taken aback, demands clarification. Meeting his gaze, Savi reaffirms her declaration of love, prompting Ishaan to react impulsively, slapping her. 

Savi's shock is palpable as she tries to comprehend his response. Ishaan admonishes her, questioning her sanity and incredulously dismissing her confession. He disparages her feelings by reminding her of their respective promises—his commitment to Harini's aspirations and pledge to her family. Ripping apart the letter, he insists their relationship is strictly professional, instructing Savi to focus on her studies and warning her not to escalate the situation. Savi acquiesces, hurt but understanding, and leaves.

Savi tends to Ishaan's injured hand:

Seeking solace with Harini, Savi confides her sense of loss, lamenting the incompleteness of her first love. She recounts Ishaan's dismissal of her feelings and his belief that she cannot pursue both love and her ambitions simultaneously. Ishaan, meanwhile, grapples with his actions, physically punishing himself for striking Savi, even as his inner voice questions his motives. He justifies his actions as a misguided attempt to prevent Savi from becoming distracted by love, admitting he can handle her resentment but not her affection. 

Ashwini consoles Savi, offering insight into Ishaan's perspective and reassuring her of his underlying concern for her goals. Grateful for the clarity, Savi confronts Ishaan in his office, tending to his injured hand and recognizing his self-imposed penance.
