Aniruddh Dave: Seasoned actors continue to work with patience, dedication, never saying, ‘I'm tired’

While TV can be a challenging medium to work in, actor Aniruddh Dave says that one must notice the attitude of senior actors on set. He says that they are always keen to learn and work more.

“Over the years, I've played lead roles on various channels and worked with newcomers and seasoned veterans. The seasoned actors continue to work with patience and dedication, never saying, ‘I'm tired’. It's like a game of snakes and ladders - you can't stop; you have to keep going. The journey is challenging, but that's what makes it enjoyable,” he says.

He adds, “When it comes to pursuing a career in acting, it's essential to acknowledge that it demands time and effort. You can ask actors who sometimes struggle to find work for years. They cherish every opportunity they get. They might say, ‘Give us 24 hours of work; we'll value it immensely’. This has been my experience.”

Of course, theatre training helps a lot, he says, adding, “It's significant to note why theatre-trained actors are often preferred. They have honed their skills through continuous practice, which allows them to have a strong sense of self-assurance. When actors put in unique and diligent efforts in their preparation, it undoubtedly saves the director's time. Their practice has already become second nature to them, and they have worked extensively on their craft and character. This not only benefits them in daily soap operas but also in films, as they can deliver outstanding performances in a short amount of time. This is indeed a commendable aspect of their skill set.”
