Amitabh Bachchan takes the wheel on Mumbai's under-sea tunnel: Video

Amitabh Bachchan recently embarked on an adventure—a drive through Mumbai's newly inaugurated undersea tunnel, and he couldn't contain his excitement. Taking to social media, Bachchan shared a video of his exhilarating experience, describing it as nothing short of a marvel.

In his Instagram post, Bachchan expressed his awe at traversing the undersea tunnel for the first time, marvelling at its engineering brilliance. Sharing the same he wrote, "He wrote, "Went first time in the TUNNEL - Enter before Haji Ali and out Half way to Marine Drive .. a Marvel !!".

The newly unveiled Coastal Road in Mumbai, connecting Marine Drive to the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, features a remarkable two-kilometre tunnel beneath the sea, offering commuters a seamless journey. Launched in its first phase on March 11 by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, along with Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, the Coastal Road project aims to ease traffic congestion and enhance transportation efficiency in the city.

Fo the unversed, the construction began on October 13, 2018, at an estimated cost of ?12,721 crore. The Coastal Road represents a significant infrastructure development for Mumbai's residents, promising a smoother and more convenient commute.

In the realm of cinema, Bachchan's recent appearance in the dystopian action film "Ganapath," alongside Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon, received mixed reviews at the box office. However, the iconic actor is gearing up for exciting ventures, including the multilingual sci-fi action film "Kalki 2898 AD," featuring a star-studded cast including Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani.
