A lot has been going on and each passing day, we get to see a new development in the Amber Heard- Johnny Depp scenario. Amber Heard is said to have fired her entire public relations team and abruptly transitioned to a new one.
According to reports, the actress took the radical step because she was 'upset' by the article titles encompassing her behaviour in her ongoing defamatory trial against ex-husband Johnny Depp. The high-profile defamation suit has been going on since April 11 on the periphery of Washington, DC.
According to the New York Post, Amber has moved on to a new PR company in the midst of the court hearing, after apparently becoming upset with the negative coverage she was receiving. According to a report, "she doesn't like bad headlines." Amber is "frustrated with her story not being told effectively," according to another source quoted in a news report. Johnny Depp has filed a $50 million lawsuit against Amber, alleging that she defamed him in a 2018 op-ed piece for the Washington Post about sustaining domestic abuse. They claim that the piece harmed his film career and reputation.
Amid accusations of domestic abuse, the actor was fired from his lead role in the Fantastic Beasts movie series. Amber's lawyers argue that it is not defamatory because Amber did not name Johnny in the item and authored it for the greater good.
Johnny has already testified in the trial, which has been going on for three weeks. Johnny claimed in his testimony that he was the victim of abuse at the hands of Amber, not the other way around. Amber is scheduled to testify in a few days.
